Most of us who have been driving around Central Texas or The Metro-Plex for 20 years or more have witnessed several anxious and uncomfortable migrations to the Tollway environment. Just as most of us have become comfortable with the concept and know it as a way of life, Austin Texas is about to add more confusion to the mix. Construction will start sometime in 2013 for 2 new lanes which will run for 11 mile stretches alongside existing lanes on Mopac. The confusion will start when you try to figure out if you want to drive the old lanes (which will still be free) or drive one of the new ones for a fluctuating charge which will run from 50 cents to 5 dollars.
